Museum Exhibition of the Battle of Aprilia
The Museum Exhibition of the Battle of Aprilia is located within the Calissoni Bulgari Estate, a 64-hectare area with more than 11,500 olive trees. This permanent exhibit includes private collections, war artifacts unearthed by members of The Factory 1944 Association and donations from veteran families. It is focused on Operation Fischfang, one of the bloodiest battles of the Italian campaign.
Giacomo Manzù Museum
The Giacomo Manzù Museum is located in Ardea, at km 32 of the Via Laurentina. Open since 1981, the museum is dedicated to Giacomo Manzù, a well-known Italian sculptor. Cemetery of the Battle of Anzio
This cemetery is the final resting place for 2316 British Commonwealth soldiers who lost their lives during World War II. The cemetery, designed by Louis de Savoie-Carignan de Soissons, is located near the site of one of the most intense clashes of the conflict. Gravestones show the name, age, regiment and date of death.
American Cemetery in Nettuno
The American Military Cemetery in Nettuno contains the graves of 7860 American soldiers who perished during the liberation of Sicily, in the landings at Anzio and Salerno, and in air and naval support. This place of solemn remembrance celebrates the sacrifice of the Allies in the liberation of Italy.
